Hamid Karzai - Thanks For The Gratitude, Pal!

As the end of his time in office approaches, the Afghan president Hamid Karzai has said Nato has brought much death and misery to his country, but little security. Here, UKIP's Military Expert responds to these claims...
How nice of Mr Karzai to acknowledge the deaths of 445 British soldiers so far in his country – not to mention many, many more American, Canadian and other nations’ young people.

How nice of him to acknowledge that many of these casualties have come while training, equipping and setting up his country’s security forces so that they can do their jobs. How nice of him to thank us for the blood and treasure we have poured in.Well, it would have been nice but of course I am dreaming. Instead, we have had another blast of breath-taking ingratitude – spitting in the faces of those families who have lost their sons and daughters, or seen them come home maimed for ever.In case you have not yet worked it out, Mr Karzai, the Taliban’s aim in Afghanistan is to re-establish the medieval style of rule and severe interpretation of Sharia law that they imposed during their period of government.

Elephantine Tragedies.
