Louise Allain, 41, started working in Cherie Blair's office last year. But in an office reshuffle in January, the mother-of-two was told to work full-time or be made redundant. She suggested working some of the time from home or job sharing, but this was rejected. When Miss Allain asked if that meant she was being fired, Mrs Blair curtly responded: ‘You are being made redundant as there is no longer a part time role.’
