Injustice Reported In The Coventry Telegraph.

A care worker has been jailed for beating up a 90-year-old dementia patient. Police were called to Chasewood Care Home in McDonnell Drive, Exhall, in February after a call from the manager who said an elderly man at the home had been assaulted by Suzanne Edmondson, 49. Officers launched an investigation and found that on February 6 Edmondson had been looking after the victim at the care home. Another member of staff had gone into the victim’s room and found Edmondsonpinning the man down, swearing at him and striking him in the face. Edmondson then picked the man up and threatened to put him outside in the rain. The other member of staff left to raise the alarm and returned to find the victim lying on the floor with an eye injury.
