At least 31 people have died in attacks on two Kenyan coastal villages.
Witnesses say that about a dozen heavily armed men stormed the village of Hindi
in the coastal county of Lamu late on 5 July. At least 22 people died. The town
is only about 25 miles from Mpeketoni where around 60 people died in similar
attacks two weeks ago. The attackers also killed nine people in Gamba, Tana
River County. They broke into the local police station to free a suspect
connected to the Mpeketoni attack two weeks ago and killed one policeman and
five prisoners. Men spared who could recite Muslim creed Al-Shabaab has claimed
