Doughnut Peaches.

These fruits are arguably the best I have ever eaten - whether supermarket purchased or found in the markets of the Costa Blanca. They are luscious, beautifully textured, flavoursome and generally one euro a KILO. I return to England to manky peaches and nectarines at five times the price. I have bought loads of expensive cherries in the UK this summer of distinctly modest quality - the third rate ones in Spain are so good that they almost seem to be a different fruit altogether.
Oh yes - decent Fuji apples at between 1euro and 1.5 euros per kilo!
