Scottish Referendum.

It is 100% justifiable that the Scots should have a say on their own future but I feel that a vote to leave would be ill-considered. The West Lothian Question is easily answered - the Scots have more to lose than to gain economically. If they leave for 'identity issues' - that is a whole different matter, of course.

For England, the advantage would be that there would be far fewer unwelcome Labour & SNP members at Westminster. It would partly offset the boundary bias in Labour's favour south of the border.
(Unsurprising that Salmond lost the debate, innit?)
