Fanatic Alert!

The ex-Tory Cabinet minister said European Union membership was “essential” for the UK’s standing in the world and vowed to step up a campaign to keep Britain in the EU. 
Mr Clarke revealed he was joining Labour peer Lord Mandelson and Lib Dem Cabinet minister Danny Alexander in becoming a joint president of British Influence, a cross-party campaign in support of the UK’s membership of the EU.
