Having failed to take the seat (Labour and Lib Dems forming a Conservative alliance to beat him, I wonder?), I feel that Nigel was genuinely relieved to escape the pressure of leadership.
Four candidates emerge as contenders:
Patrick O' Flynn.
Suzanne Evans.
Doug Carswell and
Paul Nuttall.
Personally, I think that Patrick and Doug would be excellent as 'a safe pair of hands.' Suzanne and Paul are more dynamic. Probably Paul, for me, makes a few more faux pas than does Suzanne. Add to that, the advantages in vote gleaning of having a female leader - perhaps I lean towards casting my vote for Suzanne. I remain open to persuasion.
As, in my view, Nigel has taken the party as far forward as it is possible to go, I shall not be too sad to see a fresh pair of hands at the helm.
Self explanatory title. I abhor that nicey nicey, politically correct, pseudo-Christianity which almost always supports leftwing attitudes - which in most cases are profoundly anti-Gospel. This Blog supports persecuted Christians. This Blog exposes cults. This Blog opposes junk science. UPDATED DAILY. This is not a forum. This Blog supports truly Christian websites and aids their efforts. It is hardhitting and unashamedly evangelical so if it offends - please do not come to this site!
