‘Prayers For The Nation.'
What greater privilege is there for a Christian than to pray to God? What
better place to do it than the historic chapel within the Houses of
Parliament?
'Prayers for the Nation' - the CCF's monthly prayer meeting - is held at
the heart of the Houses of Parliament in the historic Chapel of St Mary
Undercroft. A place of
Christian worship since 1297, the Chapel’s architecture is an inspiring reminder
of centuries of Christian witness and worship at the heart of our
Government.
The focus for each meeting is provided by a guest speaker who provides a
stimulating and prayerful introduction to the meeting. The majority of the time
is devoted to prayer around the focus topic, for our Parliamentarians, topical
subjects and nation.
