From 1850 until 1864 the Taiping Rebellion raged in China and was
responsible for some 20 million deaths. I am angered that so many malevolent commentators
refer to the leader of this wicked catastrophe as 'a Christian convert.' Hong
Xiuqan was nothing of the sort - not even close! The fact that Hong referred to
himself as 'Jesus Christ's younger brother' should give most readers a clue that
this was just one enormous cult.
