UKIP Cares On Local Issues Too!

BUSINESSES and shoppers are clamouring for free car parking to boost trade in Sedgley - after a Freedom of Information request revealed that current charges on one local site bring in a "pitiful" profit of less than £300 a year. One Sedgley shopkeeper said his old-established family business had lost between 15 and 20 per cent in takings over the last couple of years as customers headed for areas with free parking, such as Merry Hill.
The campaign to end charging at the Bilston Street car park is being led by Sedgley councillor and West Midlands Euro MP Bill Etheridge, who has collected a 150-name petition calling for free parking. Dudley News.
