Refugees.

1) Are they genuine?

2) If not - what is to be done with them?

3) Have they obeyed the rules and gone to the nearest 'safe' nation - or have they travelled across Europe to the nearest soft touch?

4) How much more willing to help would the people of the UK have been had the nation not already been swamped with millions upon millions of 'legitimate' and illegal migrants?

5) Will this provoke a resurrection of the BNP, the National Front, the EDL, the hard right et al?

6) Be aware that any action by governments which is seen as capitulating to the moral blackmail here, will result in millions more making the same journeys.
7) How can we show a considered rather than emotional response which is based on a mixture of compassion, righteousness and justice?

A much more agreeable point to raise is to ask whether all this palaver will result in a 'bye bye vote' in the EU Referendum?  It is already tremendous to see the Schengen Agreement crumbling at the edges!
