UKIP Defence spokesman, Mike
Hookem MEP has described the timetable for the release of the Chilcot report as
“a further extension of the misery felt by those demanding answers on the Iraq
war.”
Speaking from Strasbourg, Mr Hookem said; “quite frankly I think this report has taken way too long and witnesses to the enquiry have been given too much right of reply.”
“While Tony Blair may approve the extra time to prepare his response, the British people are left nearly another year without answers. This is simply unacceptable and the wait must be especially torturous for those who lost loved ones in the conflict.”
