'Christians Should Abstain From Alcohol.'

Periodically, this question arises - and has no substance whatsoever.
The Scriptures only ever warn us against the abuse of alcohol and there are many more texts which warn against gluttony.
We are told that we should 'not cause our brother to stumble' - and this is self-evident. We must take great care with how and where and with whom we drink.
On the positive side:
1) Jesus turned water into wine.
2) The Last Supper and Communion are celebrated in wine.
3) Paul to Timothy recommends wine for his stomach.
Just remember that, "Alcohol is a good friend but a bad enemy.'' You can argue that there are hosts of things from books to computers which have a good side and a bad. It is how you deal with them. If you cannot control your alcohol intake - that is the point to quit!
