SIR – Our American friends have no idea that the laws made by unelected bureaucrats in the European Union have precedence over our elected Parliament’s decisions. An equivalent situation for them would be the Organization of American States making the laws in the US.
I wonder if President Barack Obama, who plans to advise Britain to stay in the EU, is aware of this. Giving away his country’s sovereignty is not something he would ever dream of doing.
