So Many SILVER Cars - Why?

I drive a silver-coloured car. I am fed up with the dominant colour of the last decade. Are manufacturers so narrow in their thinking that they can't give us a wider variety to choose from without calling it 'an additional extra'? - And why are two-tone cars so very rare?
