ED. COM. Some Creation Ministry and Intelligent Design groups have claimed Hobbits were deformed humans. Time for them to back off such foolish claims. When you have to invent a ghost family tree, because Hobbits were not humans of any kind, it’s time for evolutionists to give up the ghost also. In fact, there never has been any excuse for believing Hobbits were humans. Since the original bones were found many scientists have carried out and published detailed studies of the bones, and compared them with living and extinct apes (Australopithecines). All these peer reviewed results show H. floresiensis had the brain size of a chimpanzee, a jaw like an Australopithecine (e.g. Lucy), arms like a gibbon or a monkey, hips like an Australopithecine, legs like a chimpanzee or orangutan, and long flat feet like a bonobo. Its body proportions are also Australopithecine; its estimated body mass like a chimpanzee, and brain-to-body proportions show chimpanzee or Australopithecine. It is time for creation groups to stop aiding evolutionists by maintaining the dwarf human story, and it is time for all Hobbit fans to face facts, and stop perpetuating useless arguments or wasting further research time and money trying to prove they were human.
