Eugene Peterson, the Presbyterian pastor who wrote the The Message, has come out in support of gay marriage, saying that he would officiate a same-sex wedding if asked.

(Incidentally, I shall be throwing out our copy of The Message.)
You see, Eugene - the fact that people have homosexual relationships would have been perfectly okay with me but for just ONE tiny thing. GOD HAS SAID 'NO' - with abundant clarity!
You see, God's view is rather more important than our views!
