The "mainstreaming" movement to involve autistic and other mentally handicapped children in school has gone too far. When a child is clearly so abnormal that he has no chance of fitting in, the chance of anti-social behavior is very high. Instead, educating them in a supportive environment and employing them in a sheltered environment can help keep them from such extreme criminal behavior. I am amazed that no one reported this young man to the ASPCA (prevention of cruelty to animals). They would have seen that he was charged and convicted for his actions. That's a strange route to go to get a dangerous person off the street, but often murderers torment animals.
