Is This Really Justice?

A man in Tennessee is to be executed today, after spending 36 years on death row.

Should this individual have been put to death 35 years ago? - Of course!
The real downside of the American system is that appeals of one sort or another can go on for an eternity.
It is not the state's fault that there have been so many appeals and neither is it the killer's fault, either.

The system stinks and is in need of basic repair. I would advocate a maximum of three appeals - and all within a very narrow time frame.

Abolitionists, for the most part do not care about this man. They will joyfully use his execution to undermine any system which brings justice. They sicken me with their manipulations.

I also profoundly regret that some Christians cannot distinguish between God's Justice and the justice He put into the hands of man to execute.

Shame to you all!

Given the circumstances, I would support a reversal of the sentence.

The only good thing in all of this is that David Miller has had a generation in which to repent and make his peace with God.
I pray that he has already done this.
