Blogger: I have been in situations where forgiveness has looked impossible - and this after sustained prayer - you seem to be getting nowhere fast.
A lady approached me about being unable to forgive the Pastor who had stolen his best friend's wife - her son!
I suggested to her what I had learned in several appalling situations. I told her to be prepared to forgive as an interim step.
For me, it worked and I believe for her too.
Sometimes forgiveness becomes tougher when the criminal justice system is not even approaching biblical standards. Society should do its duty and that certainly makes things easier when you are not worrying about feeble, unbalanced punishments being meted out.
