The Mess Which Is Our NHS.

Blogger: let us not blame the staff. By and large, doctors, nurses, porters, cleaners, receptionists et al, all do a fine job. In other words - those at the sharp end.

The single most disastrous problem for our health service is the bureaucracy which fails the entire system.
Contrary to the claims of leftist rags, the Tories have significantly increased health spending - although not to the same eyewatering extent as under the Thatcher government.
How effective all of this has been is in terms of VFM is highly questionable, however.
For some inexplicable reason, Lib Dems and socialists adore bureaucracy being ingrained within any system. (One piece of logic, amongst many, why we had to quit the EU.)
It always increases, seemingly at an exponential level, under Labour administrations. A giant creation scheme for unnecessary jobs? (BTW, this blogger can give chapter and verse outlines of wasted monies and an inbuilding of inefficiency into the system.)
This is not to say that Tories ever make any more than token attempts to hammer bureaucracy when they are in power. It is not so much as a couple of weeks ago that this Blogger discovered a bevy of well-paid, extraneous, politically correct jobs being advertised in our NHS under Boris!
(We even beat the French who are famed for their 'carton vert' (red tape).)
Even so, the French principle of 'letting state money follow the patient' renders them a personal choice and moreover, is an avowed enemy of bureaucracy. So why do supposed Conservatives not grab this sickly chicken by the neck and pull?
One answer to this is that the combined voices of the mendacious left will scream 'The Tories plan to privatise healthcare'. A load of manure as an argument, if ever there was one.
We need courage from the Tories. Monies from bureaucracy must be rediverted into patient care. The sharp end matters. Diversity culture is a system-sapping abomination - and one of many.
I have my own 'spies' within the system who have kept me abreast of many of these abuses of tax payers' money.

If Only I Could Disagree.
