Jeremy Clarkson - What's He For?

Harry and Meghan: Sack Them Now.

This mega-leftist is clearly using her position to do as much damage to the monarchy as she feasibly can. Welcomed warmly into the Royal Family - she apparently set out to beguile her puppy prince and wreak havoc on this country's institutions.

Her 'vaulting ambition' has certainly 'o'erleaped itself'. She has apparently targeted the US presidency at the same time as stirring up as much trouble as humanly possible whilst also making herself as rich as Croesus.

Wallis Simpson was not in the same league.

Saudi Arabia has resumed sentencing teenagers to death for protesting against the regime, despite promising earlier to end the practice. Human rights monitors have recorded seven cases in which the death penalty has been sought, handed down or confirmed on appeal for crimes by minors.

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who came to power pledging to rebrand the country’s image, ordered an end to its use on minors two years ago. Three young men whose cases had become notorious and were subject to international appeals, including by British politicians, had their sentences commuted to ten years. Times.

Prayer Please For Professor Tarfa and Family.

Take action: fresh concerns for Professor Tarfa
Earlier this month we released an urgent update on Professor Tarfa, who is still imprisoned in Nigeria on unfounded forgery charges. Since then, over 350 people have emailed the Nigerian High Commissioner, and we know that many of you have been standing with the whole family in prayer.
In case you missed it, here are three key areas to pray over:
  • Professor Tarfa has suffered a series of health challenges in prison – most recently a partial loss of sight. He does not appear to have regular access to adequate medical treatment.
  • His lawyers have submitted a notice of appeal, the first step in appealing the professor’s sentence, on the basis of errors committed by the trial judge.
  • Professor Tarfa’s wife Mercy is still awaiting permission to visit the 16 Du Merci children who remain in a government-run home in Kano City. The five youngest children are still in a rural location where they remain extremely vulnerable.

The Hope God Offers Us.

Hope - it's everywhere

Rebecca Hoverd  20 August 2022. CT.

You might say that now is a better time than any to pursue hope, to find hope, to desperately reach your hand out and grab hold of hope. But once we overcome this current season, you might be disappointed to find that life in all its ordinariness also needs hope.
If we don't see that seeking out God and placing our hope in Him is something we can do everyday, and perhaps need to do everyday, then we may float and meander through life, unattached and unsecured—hopeless.
However, I often find that hope is rather a wishy-washy, heavily used, bit of a pipe dream type word that, in all honesty, has lost its meaning.
'I hope it doesn't rain today.' 'I hope my new book arrives in the mail.' 'I hope my boss doesn't ask me to do anything extra today.' 'I hope the children's pastor doesn't want me to help out more.' 'I hope my test isn't hard.' 'I hope there is a carpark at the mall.'
We say over and over that we hope for a lot of things not to happen. Sometimes these things are obligations we feel we owe to our work, our church, and our families. Other times, we make meaningless wishes: requesting a specific kind of weather, or that some material good shows up in our letterbox, or there will be a carpark at the mall.
In other words, we use the word 'hope' a lot when we don't really need to. Selfishly, we don't want more to be asked of us, or we really want good things to happen to us.
A different perception of hope
Recently I started a new Bible study by Aimée Walker on hope. Aimée writes Bible studies, shares devotional posts on social media, and is ultimately really passionate about the Word. Her insights into what the Bible says on hope have been powerful revelations for me during this study.
One of the verses highlighted in this study has been Hebrews chapter 6, verse 19: "We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain..."
The portrayal of hope as an anchor is clear: encouraging and powerful. This illustration of hope is further strengthened with the boldness that follows it—hope enters behind the curtain, the holy of holies. Hope is that righteous, that certain, and that secure.
Spending time each day studying scripture on hope has put hope in the forefront of my mind. While I didn't expect that—but I should have—it illustrates to me how human we are and that we do need regular prompting and reminding. I wish that wasn't the case, but perhaps that is pride talking.
Once something is in the forefront of your mind, you see it everywhere. I picked up a book I was halfway through—Hope in the Dark by Craig Groeschel—and found myself engrossed in another illustration of hope. This book takes us through Habakkuk's journey—a book in the Bible I have honestly not paid much attention to previously.
Habakkuk sets a realistic and encouraging example as he goes through doubting, waiting and then finally, embracing God's goodness. His very name means to wrestle and embrace. This resonates with me and it seems to be a very expected and human experience to have.
Hope—it's everywhere
I came across a beautiful piece of writing on Instagram on hope recently. It spoke of hope as a person, as something that is eternal and never lost. Even when we feel lost, we never really are and we are already found by hope, by Jesus.
I was also recently listening to some of my favourite worship songs and found that hope was in them too. "Seasons" by Hillsong Worship is a beautiful message about God's patience and that he fulfils his promises but he takes his time. It fills me with hope because even in the waiting, we can and should know that he will deliver on his promises.
Another song is "Glimmer In The Dust" by Hillsong United. This song is based on 1 Corinthians chapter 13, which talks about how what we see now is just a part of what will come, when we will see the fullness of love. Sure, life now has its ups and downs but the beauty of creation, the acts of love we show each other, and the joy and peace God gives us daily is a wonderful glimmer of hope, of what we will one day eternally and constantly bask in.
Hope is everywhere—it inspires writing, both the kind shared on social media and in the lyrics of worship music. It is the inspiration for books and devotions written by pastors around the world. And ultimately, hope is found threaded throughout the Bible—for us to read, discover and be filled with daily.
I will finish with some of the last hope-filled words in the Bible: "He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away" (Revelation chapter 21, verse 4).
Hope—it's everywhere, ready to experience now. We can get on and live our lives now, spurred on by the promises of eternity by our God of hope.

Is This 'Treason'? - If Not, Then Something Very Much Like It!

The hellish ruins of American leadership.

If reports of Biden's latest concessions to Iran are true, this comes close to treason

Iran shoots down US drone, 2019
One shouldn’t be surprised, of course; but it’s hard not to be astounded, horrified, shocked to the very core by the lengths to which the Biden administration is reportedly going to surrender America and the free world to the Islamic revolutionary regime of Iran.
Two weeks ago, an attempt was made to murder the author Sir Salman Rushdie, who has been living since 1989 under an Iranian regime fatwa ordering his killing, by a Muslim devotee of the regime who repeatedly stabbed Rushdie on a New York stage where he was about to deliver a talk.
Two days previously, a member of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) terror network was charged with soliciting the assassination in Washington DC of the former US National Security Advisor, John Bolton. The same man also reportedly offered $1 million for the murder of the former US Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo.
Now it appears that Iran is moving towards accepting the terms of the nuclear deal laid down by the European Union acting in effect as a proxy for the United States, which has bent every sinew to secure such a deal ever since President Joe Biden arrived in the White House.
On Gatestone, Khaled abu Toameh reports the extreme alarm in the Arab world about this deal. He quotes  Sayed Zahra, deputy editor of the Gulf's Akhbar Al-Khaleej newspaper, who accuses Biden of being in collusion with Iran and says that the alleged breakthrough appears to have occurred after Biden decided to waive two pre-conditions:
“First, Biden decided to waive the demand to include Iran's terrorist role in the region in the talks [in Vienna],” Zahra wrote. “Biden decided not to address this issue at all, nor the role of terrorist militias affiliated with Iran in the Arab countries.” The second demand Biden gave up, according to Zahra, includes the issue of Iran's ballistic missile program and the threat it poses to the security and stability of the region and the US itself and its interests.
Good grief. Last month, the IRGC said Iran had ballistic missiles capable of turning New York into “hellish ruins”. If this account of Biden’s concession is true, then it really does begin to look like the Biden administration is committing something very close to treason.

Knife Crime Rampant - Here Is Why: Look At The Misleading Headline AND Check Out The Date.

More than 1,000 children jailed for breaching Asbos.

Nigel Morris,Ben Russell
Monday 25 August 2008
IndyEat
An increasing number of children are being criminalised by the justice system, it was claimed yesterday, as new figures showed that more than 1,000 youngsters have been jailed for an average of six months each for breaching anti-social behaviour orders.
Blogger: this disturbing piece shows why the leftist media are utterly untrustworthy. Note the tone: 'An increasing number of children are being criminalised by the justice system.'
The correct way to express this is 'Look how many youngsters are now committing serious crimes.' These crimes never had and never have 'The Justice System' as their actual perpetrator - even though it is wholly blameworthy where current outcomes are concerned.
These anti-social young people have to commit huge amounts of pretty serious offences to have any chance of ever getting themselves locked up.
Our courts bend over backwards not to incarcerate youngsters - and in so doing guarantee that the numbers of offences will increase by a disproportionate amount.
Those of you who, unlike this JP, have never read the criminal records of many young, adult criminals, will neither know nor understand how many scores of unpunished juvenile crimes precede the jailing of, say, a twenty-one year old hardened criminal.
The courts' sentencing gets ever weaker and the criminals inexorably become even more entrenched in their toxic lifestyles.
Our current situation has been made inevitable by liberal left influence (always uncorrected by Tories) in our so-called Justice System.

The SPUC.

The vital lesson Roe v Wade can teach UK pro-lifers.

John Deighan  19 August 2022. SPUC.

The last few months have been a rollercoaster ride for the pro-life movement worldwide! After nearly fifty years of prayer, campaign and education, Roe v Wade has been overturned.
The American pro-life movement has achieved a remarkable victory, and it provides great hope and encouragement for all of us.
As I approach the end of my first year as CEO of SPUC, I am more convinced than ever that with your support, victory is possible here too.
The pro-abortion lobby knows it - and has been flailing around in desperation ever since the ruling. In the weeks leading up to the Supreme Court's decision, abortion fanatics waged a campaign of violence against prayer groups, pro-life campaigners and even churches.
But since the Supreme Court judgment arrived, the opposition is like nothing we have seen before.
As abortion becomes illegal in more and more states, those seeking abortions will have to travel between states for this deadly procedure.
And big business has been quick to demonstrate its allegiance to the Abortion Empire.
Here are just a few of the companies who have said that they will pay travel costs for anyone procuring an abortion in another state:
But it's not just allegiance to the abortion monolith that's motivating this "charity." There's money to be made here too. Sharona Hoffman – professor of law and bioethics at Case Western Reserve University – said to National Public Radio (NPR):
"It's certainly cheaper than having to pay for pregnancy care and for delivery of the child and then to support the child for 26 years [...] "So employers might do a cost-benefit analysis and say if the woman really doesn't want to have a child, it's cheaper for us as well."
Robert Field, professor of health management and policy at Drexel University, has said that paying these costs could even be a "recruiting advantage" for younger workers - "the kind of people that many companies want to have".
So not only are these companies facilitating the killing of unborn children – they're also saving money on maternity costs, and attracting a younger workforce.
Behind the narrative of "choice" lies a lot of commercial greed.
But do you know what's most striking about the overturning of Roe v. Wade? This kind of dramatic victory could happen here. The abortion fanatics know it and are terrified.
Soon after the announcement, the pro-abortion MP Stella Creasy said: "No one thought American Supreme Court would ever overturn a right previously granted either..."
It took American pro-lifers decades of prayer, work, organising, and educating to achieve what the abortion fanatics thought impossible.
This is why the mainstream media have re-focused their sights on SPUC and are publishing hit-piece after hit-piece against us.
Abortion zealots know that we are the most significant anti-abortion, pro-life organisation in the country. As Stella Creasy said: "You think what you see in America couldn't happen here? Then you don't understand who is organising in UK politics."
"12 weeks ago we had to fight [a] cross party effort after this government tried to ban abortion telemedicine and make it hard for women to access abortion pills. SPUC lobby hard...
"If you think there's a settled will on abortion in Westminster you aren't paying attention."
But if we want to achieve the results that we have seen are possible in America, we need to radically scale up our operations and focus our efforts on exposing the abortion industry where they are most vulnerable. I want to share with you SPUC's plan for achieving dramatic results in the UK.
1. 100 supporters in every constituency
SPUC has many exciting new projects that are changing our culture and caring for women and girls.
But there is no substitute for hard, focused lobbying of politicians, particularly local MPs. Political campaigning is at the heart of what SPUC does.
Many MPs on the fence will vote for abortion, because they fear the pressure from their party and the noisy abortion fanatics.
We must make sure that the pressure from us is greater. After all, their jobs depend on our votes. They need to know that we, their constituents, do not want abortion.
We can achieve a lot in a constituency with just a handful of supporters. But you know the saying: "Shoot for the moon, land in the stars."
So imagine what we could do for unborn babies if we had 100 reliable activists in each constituency, motivating hundreds of others to make all the difference?
This is a long term project. Building a body of activists and supporters isn't easy, and it isn't cheap.
A key way of achieving this ambitious goal is having a dedicated staff member in each of the UK's Parliaments and Assemblies.
This would enable us to develop our links between the politicians and our grassroots, and so help with strengthening local branches, distributing materials on the streets, and mobilising activists at a moment's notice.
The finance department have advised me a dedicated parliamentary officer in each of the parliaments requires funds of £120,000.
Given the constant efforts and underhanded moves to expand abortion through the Parliaments and Assemblies, time is of the essence. The clock is ticking for unborn babies and their mothers. Will you help us with a contribution towards this crucial target?
2. Project Truth - bringing the pro-life message to the streets
SPUC's Project Truth has seen a dedicated team of young SPUC supporters take to the streets of nine major towns and cities across Scotland.
Project Truth is vital for sharing life-saving information and inspiring new grassroots supporters.
In some cases, it opens up help and healing to those hurt by abortion, putting them in touch with support they never knew existed.
It also prepares the young team for a hostile culture. They leave the Project Truth roadshow better equipped to discuss abortion and to promote the message of life.
But imagine if instead of a one-week summer roadshow, we could do it for all 6 weeks of the summer holidays? And imagine if instead of training 20 young pro-lifers, we could train 100?
And imagine if instead of visiting 9 towns and cities across Scotland, we could bring this life-changing message to dozens across the UK?
We need to do more than imagine.
This scaling-up is essential if we want to achieve the repeal of the Abortion Act after more than fifty years of killing.
But even a one-week summer roadshow is an enormous investment. It takes months of preparation, not to mention badly-needed funds.
We have a sophisticated training programme created by SPUC, which has already been used to train pro-lifers in other countries – with great success.
But at present, the whole operation is organised by one part-time member of staff, and we urgently need more staff to help deliver this training. This is to say nothing of the other operational aspects of Project Truth.
If we want to scale this project up we have to start NOW. The finance team have advised me that we need an extra £70,000 if we are to triple the number of towns and cities we visit over the next year. Will youDonate
to help us bring the pro-life message to the heart of the UK's major cities?
3. Fighting for our free speech
The abortion fanatics don't just want the right to kill babies. They want to CRUSH the pro-life movement, and drive SPUC out of the public sphere.
They don't want SPUC or Project Truth presenting scientific facts about how life begins, or about the basic principles of right and wrong.
These anti-science fanatics also want to create "buffer zones", banning pro-lifers from standing silently outside abortion facilities and offering last-minute help and real choice to women in need. They even want to ban prayer.
In a buffer zone hearing Scottish Lord Advocate Dorothy Bain QC defended the tyrannical bill passed in Northern Ireland, arguing that there was no difference between silent prayer and violent and aggressive demonstrations.
She even suggested that silent prayer can be more psychologically damaging to women than noisy protests.
If a proposed Scottish bill goes through, attending a pro-life vigil may lead to a jail sentence – 6 months for a first "offence," and 2 years thereafter.
Make no mistake: they are attacking the freedom to hold pro-life vigils first, but soon they will try to extend this elsewhere. Soon they will be coming for you.
Universities are disaffiliating pro-life student societies across the country. The press are trying to stop SPUC conferences and activities by aggressively pressuring venues.
How long before even expressing anti-abortion opinions is illegal? What would this mean for SPUC's pro-life meetings, branches, pro-life chains and conferences?
If we are unable to meet and mobilise or speak freely, we will not overturn Britain's Abortion Act and make abortion unthinkable.
This is why SPUC is leading the fight for pro-life speech, and we have been urging our supporters to take part in the recent Scottish public consultation.
If we cannot offer help outside abortion facilities, countless unborn babies will die.
We need to prevent this bill becoming law. Many SPUC supporters replied to the recent public consultation. However, we need to keep up the pressure in the debate stages – and we are encouraging Scottish supporters to flood their MSPs with letters on this topic.
It is vital that we prepare for this now, because time is of the essence. The campaigns team has advised me that in order to fully resource our campaign against this Bill, we need to raise sums in the realm of £60,000.
Please help us fight back against these dreadful, chilling attempts to suppress and criminalise pro-life speech and the right to free assembly.
John Deighan is CEO of the Society for the Protection of Unborn Children (SPUC).

Evangelicals are being asked to set aside 24 August - Independence Day in Ukraine - for the day of prayer.
"On this day of independence, we want to declare our dependence on God, the One who can bring true peace to the hearts of each individual person, each family and even entire peoples," said the European Evangelical Alliance (EEA) General Secretary Thomas Bucher.
The day will bring evangelicals together to pray for "an end to the suffering" and "an end to loss of life, an end to destruction and atrocities, and the beginning of healing"

Islamic terrorists kill more than 20 Christians in Nigeria.

 Nigeria's Taraba State
After more than 20 Christians lost their lives to terrorist attacks in two areas of Taraba state, Nigeria in the first half of August, a Catholic teacher on 14 August was kidnapped from a church site, sources said.
Suspected members of the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) shot their way onto the site of St Agnes Catholic Church in Dinya village, in Taraba state's Gassol County, at about 10pm and abducted the catechist, Gideon Tsehemba, said the Rev. Lawrence Awua, the parish priest.
"The ISWAP terrorists broke into the premises of our church on Sunday, Aug. 14, as we were already in our bedrooms," Awua told Morning Star News in a text message.
"They were shooting indiscriminately in the premises of the church. Our Catechist, Mr. Gideon Tsehemba, was forcefully dragged out of the church with a gun pointed at him. I was already in my bedroom, but they thought there was no one around except the catechist."
