Here's A Question - Or Three.

Christians are so often portrayed as being:

1) 'Holier-than-thou.'
2) Full of 'thou shalt nots'.
3) Hypocritical - in, 'do as I say not as I do.'

Blogger: I've tried oh-so hard to see what truth there is in these three assertions.

I do not know any Christian who is like Number One. I'm not sure that I've ever met one. Do the naysayers take this out of someone attempting to explain the Gospel? - How does that conclusion logically arise?

Number Two. I also cannot easily recognise this one. Sometimes believers need to tell people (gently) about the consequence of not following Jesus. What is delivered in love is a parcel which is apparently identified as a belief that the speaker hates them. Soooo wrong!

I have met many Number Three Christians who are hypocrites - indeed, I am one such myself. In fact, I am sure that every believer probably is to some extent.
We are certainly not perfect - however, have you met any true Christian who claims to be? - No. I thought not. No, but are we to be blamed for our failings as we strive to do the will of God? - Hardly fair when we, at least are trying.

In all three accusations, it is clear that what is said is not what is heard. Satan lives! Prayer required to rid us of Satan's influence and his hold on the lost Pray .

A Church in Crisis.
