In my interview, the previous year - I was asked if I would have any bias against those of other faiths and none. I was able to answer honestly with a negative.
Today, in a host of different areas of society - this would be unacceptable as an answer for Christians - but perfectly acceptable from Hindus, Moslems, Buddhists et al.
I suspect that the numbers of Christian appointees to the magistracy will have plummeted.
I do hope that I am wrong - but don't think I am. (Not something for which you can easily find the stats.)
