Beating Leprosy.

Make your own positive action pledge today!

Help us to 'Shine a Light on Leprosy'

Dear  Friends,

As we move into 2023, we look forward to the most poignant event in our calendar, this Sunday is World Leprosy Day

This international day is a great opportunity for us to raise awareness of leprosy as a neglected disease, and to highlight Lepra's innovative work which is helping to improve the lives of the world's most vulnerable communities.

Unfortunately, many people do not realise that leprosy still exists, and in 2023, the disease continues to be surrounded in
unfounded fear, myths and misunderstandings, which have a detrimental effect on how people are perceived and treated by society.

What can I do?

By helping to 'shine a light' on the reality of leprosy, collectively we can help change the narrative. We must continue to remind the world that millions of people are living with undiagnosed leprosy and every day the disease causes more damage to their health, livelihood and future.

By making your own '
Positive Action Pledge' for World Leprosy Day, you can help us spread the simple message that leprosy is still here, but is curable.

Even the commitment to a simple action such as;
adopting our social media profile this Sunday, trying our online quiz, signing up for Lepra News, sharing a real life story with a friend or perhaps even organising your own fundraising eventcan make a huge difference. No matter how you support World Leprosy Day, you will be helping to keep a focus on the people who need our support the most.

Click here to visit our World Leprosy Day webpage to find out how else you can help change lives and to make your own pledge.

With your help, we WILL beat leprosy.
