Our hearts were warmed, it is true, by the magnificent 155 hit by skipper Ben Stokes but it just won't do. (The extravagance of that particular innings was actually called for.) And the other wickets surrendered in 'suicide cricket'? - With even a modicum of sense in the mix and we would have had the 2 - 0 lead.
England - and Stokes - must now learn when to batten down the hatches; when to bat with intent; when to bat with a flourish and when to use the now infamous 'Basball.'
