Report: 1000+ school districts hide gender identity from parents Curated for you by CP Editors A report from Parents Defending Education shows that more than 1,000 school districts across the U.S. have policies that permit or advise personnel to withhold information from parents about their child's desire to identify as trans or nonbinary. Some 1,040 districts—representing 18,335 schools—with more than 10.7 million students have "Transgender/Gender Nonconforming Policies" that openly state employees can or should hide a student's gender identity from parents. Full Story.
