Nazi Death Tolls v Marxist Death Tolls.

Historically, we know a great deal more about Nazi deaths than total casualties of Marxism.

The Nazis - or, more accurately - National SOCIALISTS - were responsible for some 76 million deaths - whether directly or indirectly.
It was an evil, racist philosophy whereas Marxism was an evil, only occasional racist, philosophy.
Both murdered indiscriminately and warmongered to the Nth degree.
Stéphane Courtois, a one time Maoist, wrote The Black Book of Communism and declared that Communism had caused some 94 million deaths - roughly half the number claimed by France's Le Figaro newspaper some four decades ago.
Accuracy over figures is hard to pin down as where does Naziism end and other forms of extreme governments of similar timbre begin?
Where does Communism overlap with malicious groups whether, Trots, Maoists, Stalinists, Leninists etc? What of the nationally specific Marxist movements?

Frankly - the precision of figures does not matter. That they are supremely awful is all that we need to know.

Nazi groups should be rooted out and forced to stop threatening the world and the lives of ordinary people! Nazis apart, almost all governments and political parties agree about this. Naturally, the ubiquitous hard left loves this thinking.

The sickener in our modern world is that Naziism is rightly reviled but Marxism is viewed as 'semi respectable'.
This is disguised under banners such as 'Yes, we know terrible things have been done in the name of Communism - but give us a chance and we shan't make the same mistakes again!' The deep irony makes me tremble.

Mistakes, huh?

You cannot play with evil! - Evil - ANY evil - ALWAYS reverts to type.
Ironically, in comparing these two extremes, the extreme right is mortally wounded and yet, to listen to our Marxist friends - they are the bogeymen that we must all face and fear.
On numbers alone, it is the hard left who are truly to be feared.

If Only I Could Disagree.
