Pastor Aarón Méndez Ruiz (pictured centre) has been missing for nearly six years. The pastor worked on the border of Mexico and the United States, running a migrant shelter. It’s a particularly dangerous area where organised criminal groups operate, often moving things like drugs or arms across the border. Pastor Aarón had already blocked an attempted abduction of Cuban asylum seekers from his shelter. But on 3 August 2019, the criminals returned – this time taking Pastor Aarón and his colleague, Alfredo Castillo de Luna. The two men have not been seen since, and there’s never been any real investigation into who is responsible. Will you help those who have been disappeared because of their beliefs, like Pastor Aarón, and others who are being targeted for their faith around the world? Your gifts enable us to continue raising the cases of those who have been forcibly disappeared in places such as the United Nations, European Parliament and UK Parliament. Decision-makers can use this information to challenge those in authority in the countries where people have been disappeared. Grace and peace,
