The Ark of the Covenant.

 The Ark of the Covenant was a revered, wooden storage chest decorated in gold, central to ancient Israelite religious practice. It was believed to contain the Ten Commandments and was seen as a physical representation of God's presence on earth. The Ark was initially kept in the Tabernacle and later housed in the Holy of Holies of the Temple in Jerusalem.
