Jesus our Lord was ‘delivered up for our trespasses and raised for our justification.’ (Romans 4:25)
This weekend Christians all over the world will remember and celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, our Saviour and Lord!
As you do so, in your local church community, we ask you to remember in prayer those around the world who suffer persecution for their faith in that crucified and risen Lord Jesus.
Pray particularly for those Christians for whom Easter can be a time of heightened tension and fear.
Pray for those Christians who are unable to celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ in public ways as we do.
Pray for those who have been imprisoned for their faith and those who have been forced to flee: that they may know the grace, mercy and peace of God at this time.
