Below, we share his story in full, including a short video in which he shares about the difference it made to be loved by his local church and to have someone encourage him to dream. We hope James’ story will encourage you about the lifelong impact your support makes. “He is not here; he has risen, just as he said...” Matthew 28:6 When a child is encouraged to dream James remembers a childhood shaped by hunger, illness and unsafe water. Survival was the focus; the future felt out of reach. Everything began to change when his local church, through Compassion, stepped in.
