Training to be lights in the darkness
‘Aching legs, bursting lungs and thumping heart…’ That’s how one Release International supporter described her preparation for next month’s Light Walk Challenge.
In the early hours of Sunday, June 14 Release International CEO Paul Robinson and a group of dedicated supporters will be carrying a ten-foot high cross up Scafell Pike—aiming to reach the summit as dawn breaks.
The walk is intended to raise awareness of faithful Christians around the world who suffer for Christ and the gospel—who continue to be lights in the darkest places.
The participants are currently hard at work in training for the event. Another supporter said that it was now ‘feeling a little daunting’, but added that the challenge is nothing compared with what Christians in other parts of the world endure.
