Central Asia
Release International’s partner for Central Asia works to plant and support churches in countries where Christians are persecuted and where there is little or no church presence.
Central Asia is the term Release International uses to refer to a group of nations in that region that used to be part of the Soviet Union, namely: Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
Pray for churches in Tajikistan where our partner recently had opportunities to preach. Pray for their protection, and that Christians will have been encouraged and built up in the hope found in Jesus’ death and resurrection.
Pray for those parts of Central Asia, like Kyrgyzstan, where freedom of religion and belief is restricted—and where restrictions have increased. Pray that churches would remain steadfast in the face of adversity.
