A message from Simon Turpin,

our Executive Director and Speaker

Dear All,

We are planning our meetings for 2027 and want to make you aware of my talk schedule, to enable you to plan for us to visit your church next year.

May the Lord bless you!

Simon Turpin

Executive Director/Speaker AIG UK

KEY TALK TITLES

Adam: The First and Last

Was Adam a myth, man, or a descendent of a monkey? This talk defends the historicity of the first Adam as a real person who existed in space and time and shows why we did not evolve from a common ancestor. It also shows why the first Adam is crucial for understanding the Last Adam (Jesus) and the doctrines of sin and salvation.

Creation: Six Days or Billions of Years?

In the church today, we see several approaches to the Days of Creation recorded in Genesis 1, some say that they were real 24 hour days. Others take them to be long periods of time during which the great epochs of evolutionary history occurred. Others believe that they were 24 hours each, but they also inset a long gap to account for the vast ages of secular geology; and still others treat the entire account as nothing more than poetry, insisting that Genesis has nothing to do with when or how God created the world. But which of these views is correct? This talk will show that we can determine how long it took for God to create everything and, most importantly, why this is an important issue.

Engaging Islam:

Islam is the second largest and the fastest growing major religion in the world. For this reason alone, if we are thinking about Islam from a Christian worldview and want to engage with it, then we need to ask the question, “What do Muslims believe?” Engaging Islam looks at the origins, practices and central beliefs of Islam and also what Muslims believe about: the Qur'an, Allah (God), the Cross, Jesus, Sin and Salvation, and critiques them in light of the Bible's teachings on these issues. This talk will help you engage with Islam in a fresh way and understand what Muslims believe so that you can clearly communicate the gospel of Jesus Christ to them.

Genesis: The Foundation of the Gospel

This is the key message of AIG’s ministry worldwide. It looks at why the first book of the Bible matters for the sake of the Gospel in our society today. The foundations laid in the first 11 chapters provide the basis on which all biblical teaching should be taught and understood. A right perspective on Creation, Corruption, Catastrophe, and Confusion in Genesis 1-11 reveals the need for Christ and the Cross. Together these 7C’s (including Consummation; the end of all things) provide a biblical framework to give real answers to the majority of the questions people have and it starts with having the right biblical foundation.

Scoffers: Responding to those who Deliberately Overlook Creation and the Flood

Atheistic evolutionists or sceptics often ridicule Christians who accept the belief in the supernatural creation of the world and a global Flood, by calling them `Extremists’, `Fundamentalists’, `Anti-intellectuals’ and `Literalists’. 2 Peter 3 reveals this scoffing as nothing new, so how should we respond?

Why Theistic Evolution is Incompatible with the Bible

Theistic evolution is the idea that God started or directed evolutionary processes - which is sadly believed by many Christians in the UK. This view makes God an incompetent Creator and the author of death and suffering, as it puts them before mankind’s sin. This talk not only shows how theistic evolution is incompatible with the Bible, but also shows how it erodes key doctrines of the Christian faith.

Taking a Stand in the Battle for the Family

For generations, western societies have seen the collapse of the family due to the influence of Darwinian and Marxist views of the family. Rather than tackle this issue, many Christians say we should just preach the Gospel. But this ignores the fact that marriage and the family are foundational to the Christian worldview and the Gospel. This talk will show what Christians are called to do in the context of the destruction of the family

ADDITIONAL TALKS

Answering Atheism

Today’s atheists are very vociferous and `evangelistic’ in their methods of promoting their message. How can we counter this? Could you provide a response to their arguments?

Defending the Deity of Christ

Understanding the doctrine of the deity of Jesus is fundamental in defending the truth of the Christian faith, as it is rejected by all major religions (Islam, Judaism, Hinduism and Buddhism) and cultic groups (Mormoms, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Unitarians and Christadelphians).

Dinosaurs and the Bible

A biblical approach to understanding dinosaurs, delivered in a framework of the seven ages of dinosaurs. Genesis: Unique Revelation or Ancient Myth? There are other texts which parallel the Genesis Creation account. Was Genesis dependent upon those myths or was it uniquely revealed?

God Breathed Scripture

The doctrine of Sola Scriptura was at the heart of the Protestant Reformation, serving as a guard around Scripture to protect it from unbiblical ideas being imposed upon it. Nevertheless, many Christians today struggle to defend this vital doctrine while others say that Sola Scriptura is not even taught in the Bible. This talk looks at the questions, what is Scripture and tradition, what constitutes Scripture, how many books are there in Scripture and why we even have a New Testament Canon.

The Triune God of Scripture

The doctrine of the Trinity is fundamental in understanding and defendin the truth of the Christian faith - it separates almost every other religion and cultic group. Yet there are many objections to it. Most are either a result of rationalism over revelation or a misunderstanding of the doctrine. This talk clarifies what the Bible teaches about the nature of God, for both the believer and the unbeliever.

What does the Bible say about Religion?

If we are to interact with those from other religions , we first have to ask several questions. What is religion? Where did religious diversity originate? And how does the Bible view other religions?
