“Without the gospel everything is useless and vain; without the gospel we are not Christians; without the gospel all riches is poverty, all wisdom folly before God; strength is weakness, and all the justice of man is under the condemnation of God. But by the knowledge of the gospel we are made children of God, brothers of Jesus Christ, fellow townsmen with the saints, citizens of the Kingdom of Heaven, heirs of God with Jesus Christ, by whom the poor are made rich, the weak strong, the fools wise, the sinner justified, the desolate comforted, the doubting sure, and slaves free. It is the power of God for the salvation of all those who believe …”
Self explanatory title. I abhor that nicey nicey, politically correct, pseudo-Christianity which almost always supports leftwing attitudes - which in most cases are profoundly anti-Gospel. This Blog supports persecuted Christians. This Blog exposes cults. This Blog opposes junk science. UPDATED DAILY. This is not a forum. This Blog supports truly Christian websites and aids their efforts. It is hardhitting and unashamedly evangelical so if it offends - please do not come to this site!

Calvin could be wise on occasion.
It was all so predictable.
'While people tell the pollsters they accept the need for reductions in public spending, they recoil from any ‘cut’ which may affect them personally. That’s precisely why the calculating council bosses are deliberately slashing popular services such as school crossing patrols and swimming pools, rather than taking a scythe to the vast waste and bureaucracy which infests practically every government department in the country.'
Mr Littlejohn is not wrong!

Does this country have a death penalty?
The answer to the question in the title is an unequivocal 'yes'. Unfortunately however, it is exercised solely by criminals!
Raabe scandal.
'A Christian GP sacked from a Government drugs advisory body for his ‘controversial’ views on homosexuality has discovered that a Home Office report made similar points.
Dr Hans Christian Raabe was fired from the Advisory Council for the Misuse of Drugs (ACMD) last week for failing to disclose he had co-authored an academic report linking homosexuality to paedophilia.
His dismissal prompted widespread protests from anti-drugs groups who claimed he had been the subject of a witch-hunt.'
So. Believe the Scriptures and you are not fit to wage war on drugs. ????
If anybody should ever sue - he should! (Incidentally - wasn't his report academically valid, to boot?) Politically incorrect don't mean wrong! This government is just as much liberal left as the last one!

Think about it!
Does the insanity never end?
Apparently, Labour allowed 155,000 illegal immigrants to qualify for sickness benefits and maternity pay.

Evolved from sheep.
'Sheep can pass psychological tests that monkeys would fail' according to a recent scientific study. This gives certain confirmation to my hypothesis that mankind has actually evolved from ovine quadrupeds.
This information would definitely prove that point when we consider that people are still voting for the policies of the LibLabCon which they actually do not want!
They follow the flock and fail to vote for the one party which is the most representative of public opinion over the widest range of issues.
To Surrey & Kent police - a coconut!
'Residents in Surrey and Kent villages have been ordered by police to remove wire mesh from their windows as burglars could be injured.Home owners in the villages of Tandridge and Tatsfield in Surrey and in Westerham, Brasted and Sundridge in Kent have said they are furious that they are being branded 'criminals' for protecting their property.

'To the 'boys in blue' this Blog hereby awards a LoonyTunesWatch coconut!

Council of Europe griping? - Tough, we don't care!
'The body that oversees European human rights law angered MPs last night by attacking their decision to reject demands to give prisoners the vote.
The Council of Europe said it was ‘deeply disappointed’ by the defiance of Parliament and had expected better from one of Europe’s oldest democracies, which it said must ‘abide by its international obligations’.
Easily remedied. Tell 'em to get stuffed and we'll leave the whole European fiasco!

Wrong again. Wrong as usual!
Uzbek persecution of Pastor ends - finally!
'Uzbek pastor Dmitry Shestakov has been released from jail four years after his arrest – and three days before his mother's death.Pastor Dmitry (also known as David) was released from the prison in Andijan on January 21.
Religious rights group Open Doors has confirmed that Dmitry was able to see his mother before her death. He is said to be in good spirits – but suffering from heart and liver problems and high blood pressure.
Pastor Dmitry, who is part of the legally registered Full Gospel Church in Andijan, was arrested on January 21, 2007, over 'illegal religious activities'. In March that year, he was charged under criminal law.'
Now pray for the other persecuted Christians in Uzbekistan!

Major started this: Blair and Brown added fuel to the flames!
'Trial re-tests of [sickness benefits] claimants in Burnley and Aberdeen found 68.6 per cent did not have a valid claim and were unable to prove they were too ill to take a job.'
How this must infuriate the genuine who will be seen in the same light as these fraudsters and leadswingers - although, in fairness, how many can 'prove' their sickness I do not really know! Not all illnesses are on the surface. What of the mentally ill? Are we going now to persecute them even further?
Mind you, where are they going to find the 1.8 million jobs? Perhaps the massive numbers of new immigrants allowed over here by Labour incompetence, Brussels insistence and the Schengen Agreement might be asked to surrender their jobs?

Lorry loonies.
After driving along many miles of dual carriageway yesterday to a funeral, I decided that certain drivers of lorries and large vans must be awarded a sackload of LoonyTunesWatch coconuts.
These are the ones who, when finding themselves in the left hand lane behind another slow-moving vehicle, decide to overtake EVEN WHEN THEIR ENGINE HAS INSUFFICIENT POWER TO ACHIEVE THIS!The consequence is 2 vehicles crawling side by side for mile after mile until something eventually happens. This may mean that the outer lorry finds an extra mile an hour and after perhaps 4
minutes completes the futile exercise.
minutes completes the futile exercise. Extremely rare is the situation when the driver recognises and accepts the mistake before pulling over.
This is serious business - queues of a mile or more of traffic can find themselves backed up.
I have never heard of a prosecution for this and it really must fall under several statutes. Come on you motorway cops - clear the M18 at the very least!

What could I possibly say?
'According to latest figures, the 280ft generator towering over the M4 near Reading worked at just 15 per cent of its capacity last year. And although it generated electricity worth an estimated £100,000, it had to be subsidised with £130,000 of public money.Since it was switched on in 2005, it has been given £600,000 in public subsidies while working at an average of 17 per cent of its capacity.'

Okay. I could ask how many do not pay for themselves but I don't think I really want to know.
The legend which is Nigel.
A young friend of mine has just discovered the delights of our greatest current politician in the UK.He has been looking up Nigel Farage's speeches in the European Parliament on YouTube where our uncompromising hero is frequently dazzling.
He is rightly impressed!
Two points arise from this:
1) If only more voters realised what a jewel we have and
2) Isn't it great to have a politician who is actually on OUR side! (Not forgetting, of course, that his party is too!)
Never seen the great man in action?

'The Law', eh?
Our egregious Justice Secretary Ken Clarke has said the Government cannot "defy the law" and will have to allow at least some prisoners to vote in future. (AOL)SO. European intrusions into our nation's rights to self-determination are now 'The LAW', huh? Funny that they had to lie about that back in the 1975 referendum to win the votes of people just like me!

'Wikileaks: No 10 urged commander to play down Afghanistan failures.
A senior adviser to Gordon Brown put pressure on the commander of Nato forces in Afghanistan to play down the “bleak and deteriorating” situation to reduce criticism of his government, leaked documents disclose.'

Release International.
Release International (formerly CMCW) was founded by the Rumanian Pastor, Richard Wurmbrand who, after 14 years, including torture, in a communist prison had got so close to God, that he stated that he wouldn't have avoided the experience but would have happily repeated it had he been faced with the same circumstances. It is one of my regrets that I never got to meet this inspirational saint.
