Hmm.

3.2% - Is That All?

Drop: Private sector wages in Europe have fallen faster than almost everywhere else in EuropeBritish wages falling faster than the rest of Europe: Pay drops by 3.2% in two years
Only the Netherlands, Cyprus and Greece fared worse between autumn 2010 and autumn last year after taking account of inflation. Mail.
When inflation is running amok, the thought that buying power has only deteriorated by 1.6% annually against a backcloth of wage freezes - these figures are a joke - and not a very funny one!

The Laws Of Physics.

Vera - ITV 3.

Is this the worst acted TV show of recent decades? The plotlines aren't too bad but the eponymous heroine is DREADFUL!
Watchable only if you like good scenery shots.

Rest.

Beppe Grillo Raises Our Spirits.

Beppe Grillo, the comedian who was the big winner in Italy's election, suggests Italy may have to abandon the euro and go back to the lira, and renegotiate its gigantic debt. Telegraph. Let us hope so!

Cameron Misses The Point - As Usual.

David Cameron's response to the Eastleigh humiliation is to whine, "I shall not lurch to the right."
It speaks volumes that adopting a centre right postition, rather than  the current liberal left one he so lovingly embraces, should be described a 'lurch to the right'.
Dave, old bean, read and learn: UKIP IS NOT A RIGHTWING PARTY! THEY ARE BARELY CENTRE RIGHT. THEY ARE FILLED WITH PEOPLE WHO JUST WANT A BIT OF COMMON SENSE. GET IT? - Of course, you don't!

Is TV A Problem For You?

The Papal Resignation.

Speculation is building as to why the pope has really resigned. Many are of the view that the endemic sexual deviancy which seemingly runs so very deep in the clergy of the Roman Church is the probable cause and he is attempting to clear the way for a giant cleaning up exercise.
Adieu.
That the policy of enforced celibacy has been shown to be a nonsense is difficult to deny. The Apostle Paul stated categorically that celibacy was not for everyone.
Even so, those of us who are 100% Protestant should not be indulging in any schadenfreude whatsoever when noting the discomfiture of that damaged body.
ALL of Christendom suffers from this mess. Too many people out there simply equate the RC Church with Christianity and thus all are damaged.
The one minor consolation in all of this is that virtually all the episodes of sexual misconduct found in Protestantism are one offs.

Shame On You Labour! Shame On You Coalition!

The UK borders will be flung open this year as Romanians and Bulgarians will have access to the job marketRomanians and Bulgarians snap up 175,000 jobs in the UK already... and that's before the borders have even opened
Figures show that more than a quarter of a million Bulgarians and Romanians have come to Britain in the last five years, before the border (pictured) restrictions are lifted. Mail.

Tories To Get Us Out Of The ECHR?

Too little, too late from Theresa May AND I'm not sure that it is not just posturing in any case. (It's amazing what coming third behind Ukip in a seat where you once had an 18,000 majority can do, isn't it?) The problem for Theresa & co here is that in the unlikely event that this happens, voters will immediately see this as a confession that Ukip have been right yet again!

If The French Demand The Channel Islands - Should We Open Negotiations?

Argentina's President Kirchner pleads for talks on Falklands Argentina's President Cristina Kirchner has pleaded for negotiations over sovereignty of the Falkland Islands, saying that Britain was happy to talk to "mass murderers" but not her democratically elected government. Telegraph.

Just A Little Reminder, Dave.

Eleanor Laing.

Tory backbencher Eleanor Laing was equally scathing of the “hurtful” Tory leadership, who she said had abandoned “ordinary Conservative voters”. Speaking to BBC Radio 4's World At One, the MP for Epping Forest said, “ordinary Conservative voters don't feel that this government is in tune with them,” adding that Cameron and his Westminster coterie were not “tuning in to the hopes and fears of the vast majority of ordinary people out there in Britain today”. Although avoiding talk of gay marriage, Laing made the pointed remark that “social change should come about by evolution not by diktat from the top of government,” a not too cryptic clue as to where she believes the current wedge between government and Tory voters resides.

Alcohol Scam To Crash & Burn?

There are many pointers in the press to Cameron's stoopid 'units of alcohol taxation scam' being on the point of abandonment.
If there is one thing that voters hate  - it is 'punishing the innocent to get at the guilty!'

How DO You Spend Your Time?

Ukip - 'A Wasted Vote?'

This can never be said again! That 'Rubicon' has been well and truly crossed!
