Abortion - The Greatest Social Evil.

Latest government figures that show that record
numbers of pregnancies are ending in abortion.
The Office for National Statistics (ONS) has published
data which shows that just under a quarter (24%)
Conception rates have also tumbled to their lowest
level since 2004 – with the only increase among
women aged 40 and above.
The ONS data also revealed that women in their
early 20s are increasingly likely to have abortions.
In 2018, the percentage of conceptions leading to
abortion for women aged 20-24 was 35% – up from
33.2% in 2017. This figure has risen significantly since
1990, when the figure was 22.3%

Happening on an ‘unimaginable scale’

Andrea Williams, chief executive of Christian Concern,
said: “Lost in the release of 2018 abortion figures is
the devastating reality that every one of these
abortions represents a real, unique, human who has
deliberately been killed.
“It’s happening on a scale simply unimaginable by
those who wrote and voted for the Abortion Act 1967.
The child is not given his or her right to life, given no
advocate and is completely disregarded as a mere
blob of tissue – which could just as easily be said of
 us all.
“If these babies had been delivered, we’d name it what
it truly is: legalised killing on an unprecedented scale.
“Many mothers who have had abortions feel a great
sense of guilt over what’s happened. We don’t serve
them by downplaying the tragedy of what has happened.
We need to face the horror of what is happening behind
abortion clinic doors and offer mothers, fathers and
clinicians the hope and forgiveness found only
in Jesus Christ.”

‘A demographic disaster’

Bishop Michael Nazir-Ali said: “The government
statistics reveal that we are looking a demographic
disaster in the face. Our primary concern has to be
about the large-scale destruction of humans with
potential who have no voice for themselves. But there
are also wider implications here. A nation that is
destroying a quarter to a third of its future population
has to consider who is going to look after the old, the
sick and disabled in the future who need the NHS.
Will euthanasia be a solution? Will the generation
that killed its children be in turn killed by its children?
“The viability of children born earlier than term is
increasing all the time, so we have the paradox that
unborn children can be aborted in the same hospital
where those born prematurely at the same age are
being saved through medical procedure.
“The Abortion Act, whether we like it or not, allows
abortion in strictly exceptional circumstances. It cannot
 be abortion on demand.”

Cruise Ships.

Cruise ships provide more questions than answers on COVID-19.

Editor's note: Jonathan Arnott is a former member of the European Parliament. The article reflects the author's opinions, and not necessarily the views of CGTN.
If you want to see the worst-case scenario for the spread of any virus, you need look no further than a cruise ship. The cruise companies know it.
At the best of times, cruise liners take plenty of precautions to prevent outbreaks of anything from the common cold to norovirus. They're hygiene-conscious, disinfecting on a regular basis and expecting passengers to take precautions too.
The problem is that a ship is such an enclosed space. Hundreds or even thousands of people might be sharing buffets, or swimming pools, or toilets. Even under quarantined conditions, air is still circulated through ventilation systems. The "population density" on a cruise ship is far higher than any city.
Crew accommodation is even more cramped, and work must still be done to serve food to passengers – hopefully without contamination. However sympathetic I might be to passengers on the Diamond Princess, my heart goes out even more so to the crew.
However hygiene conscious you might be, the challenges of keeping a virus under control are substantially more difficult at sea than on land. When cruise ships are described as "floating Petri dishes," it's not a bad analogy. Australia's Chief Medical Officer, Professor Brendan Murphy said, "Cruise ships are well known as a place where communicable diseases can be rapidly transmitted."
I can't blame cruise companies for being cautious. When an 83-year-old American MS Westerdam passenger tested positive for COVID-19, quarantine measures were put in place. Nobody else was infected, which at first seems like a massive disease control success story. It's no longer certain, though, whether she ever had COVID-19 at all.
The American Center for Disease Control first issued a statement saying that she did not, then retracted the statement. Cambodia has also questioned the initial positive test result, whereas Malaysia defends it. Caution is certainly a good thing, but the confusion surrounding this case makes it difficult to know what – if anything – we can realistically learn from the MS Westerdam.
The precautionary principle is important, although it leads to temporary disruption whenever there is a potential case: the Costa Smerelda was held in lockdown, only for it to later transpire that the passenger concerned simply had a case of the flu.

Passengers are seen on the deck of the "Diamond Princess," a cruise ship which has been kept in quarantine at the port of Yokohama in Japan, February 19, 2020. /Xinhua
The Diamond Princess is the only cruise liner on which there is a clear, known outbreak. It's tempting to be highly critical of the quarantine efforts on board, but for a ship with 1,100 crew and around 2,600 passengers – few with any medical training – the size of the task facing them was huge.
There are 695 known cases of those who were on board the Diamond Princess, a total of almost 20 percent of those on board. While the quarantine clearly failed, crew members continued to work under difficult conditions and effectively risked their lives to ensure that they were still able to provide food to the passengers.
Crew members share toilets, eat communally in a mess hall, and share sleeping arrangements. Maintaining an effective quarantine would have been difficult no matter how efficient the systems.
According to Kentara Iwato of Kobe University, "the cruise ship was completely inadequate in terms of infection control." When members of the crew became sick, there were no spare cabins; so they initially had to continue to share with healthy colleagues.
With no separation between contaminated and non-contaminated areas of the ship, there was no chance of containing the virus. Calls to evacuate the ship went unheeded, with the number of cases increasing accordingly.
Shigeru Omi, who was previously a regional director of the World Health Organization, pointed out that "the ship was not designed to be a hospital. The ship was a ship."
By failing to evacuate the ship in a timely manner, we should have learned something about the worst-case scenario for how the virus spreads. It should be possible to use the data to improve scientific models, which could then inform future disease control methods. Yet even that data has not been forthcoming. Academic research which could help us learn how to control the virus has been delayed by slow information-sharing.
The situation on the MS Westerdam, where it is still not entirely clear whether or not a patient did have the COVID-19, highlights another inconvenient feature of the virus.
The amount of the virus produced by the human body may vary from day to day, and symptoms are often uncorrelated with levels of the virus within the body. A single negative test for the COVID-19 does not completely rule out the possibility that a patient may have it.
Both crew and passengers have been failed by a slow response from the international community regarding the Diamond Princess. The lack of research, and uncertainty over what actually happened on the MS Westerdam, has generated more questions than answers. That should not be the case.

Deep State UK? - Civil Service Mandarins.

A deep state (from Turkish: derin devlet), also known as a state within a state, is a form of clandestine government made up of hidden or covert networks of power operating independently of a state's political leadership, in pursuit of their own agenda and goals. Examples [across the globe] include organs of state, such as the armed forces or public authorities (intelligence agencies, police, secret police, administrative agencies, and government bureaucracy).
A deep state can also take the form of entrenched, career civil servants acting in a non-conspiratorial manner, to further their own interests. The intent of a deep state can include continuity of the state itself, job security for its members, enhanced power and authority, and the pursuit of ideological objectives. It can operate in opposition to the agenda of elected officials, by obstructing, resisting, and subverting their policies, conditions and directives. It can also take the form of government-owned corporations or private companies that act independently of regulatory or governmental control. Wiki.

Islamic Scholar Claims The 'Right' of Islamic Men To Rape None Moslems.

Islamic scholar ‘says Allah allows Muslim men to RAPE non-Muslim women to humiliate them.'

AN ISLAMIC professor has allegedly claimed Muslim men are allowed by Allah to rape non-Muslim women in order to “humiliate” them.

Incidentally, for those who have insufficient knowledge to realise it - Allah is the Moon God and not the Jehovah of the Bible. https://www.billionbibles.org/sharia/allah-moon-god.html

Interesting what this prof has to say. Had that been said by a Bishop against Moslem women - the left would have attempted to close Christianity down! Why are they never evenhanded?
Well. When you are on the side of leftist evil, 'evenhandedness' has little appeal for you.

Why The Left Is Failing - Their Insanity Spotted By Voters!

So while Trump sails unopposed towards the Republican nomination, the Democrats’ new best hope is a man who called Super Tuesday “Super Thursday,” and grabbed his wife’s hand and said, “This is my little sister, Valerie.”
The reason the Democrats are in such disarray is that, like the Israeli left, they too don’t have a plausible story to tell. They no longer know what the party stands for. That’s why a growing segment has lurched towards the extreme left.
The rest inhabit a supposed center ground that has itself lurched leftwards into endorsing identity politics and winking at the anti-white racism of Black Lives Matter, the harassment of conservative speakers on campus, the demonization of Israel, the undermining of the rule of law by sanctuary cities and the erosion of the very idea of the nation through lax border controls.
Far from promoting a fairer, more decent society voters can see that all this produces the opposite. To the outrage and bewilderment of liberals, Trump is perceived as standing instead for the values of patriotism, law and the constitution, where most of the public believe the true middle ground to be. Melanie Phillips.

Fighting FGM.

Florence Lomariwo’s lifelong crusade against female genital mutilation (FGM) started with her own narrow escape. When she turned nine, Florence’s caregivers planned her FGM ceremony in preparation for her upcoming wedding.

“I did not want to be married early because it would shatter all my dreams,” Florence says. “I ran away from home, living with well-wishers and teachers who supported my desire to complete my education and make something of myself.”

Florence’s determination paid off. After finishing secondary school, she enrolled in a teaching college and later graduated with a degree in education.

This remarkable change-maker now runs a school and rescue centre for girls who have escaped FGM and early marriage. What’s more, she’s the chair of the committee overseeing the local Compassion project.

Still Want To Spend Your Money In Dubai?

Please Support Professor Tarfa.

Dear All,
This impassioned plea comes to you from 27 children in Nigeria who have been taken from Christian orphanages that were their home.
The only father they’ve known – Professor Richard Solomon Tarfa, who founded the orphanages with his wife Mercy – was arrested on Christmas Day 2019 and has been held in detention ever since. He is accused of ‘criminal conspiracy and abduction’, but in reality, Prof Tarfa and his wife are falsely suspected of converting Muslim children.
As Mrs Tarfa was preparing Christmas lunch, armed policemen stormed the orphanage in Kano, demanding the Professor and his wife come to the police station for interrogation. The children were taken and put in a state-run institution, where they were later joined by children from the Kaduna branch of the orphanage, and where they are living in poor, cramped conditions. Reports indicate they are being maltreated, maligned and coerced to convert. On 21 February one of them was physically assaulted, allegedly in the presence a state official.
Prof Tarfa was detained initially for running an illegal orphanage.  After proving this wasn’t true, he was taken to court on 3 January 2020 to face charges of criminal conspiracy and abduction. He was unable to meet the steep bail conditions and is still detained. On 21 February the judge failed to attend court to deliver a decision on the revision of these excessive bail terms, allegedly because he was “sick”.
The excessive charges and harassment of Prof Tarfa and his wife appear to be the resumption of a campaign to close the orphanage which began in 2002.
‘Please all meaningful people around the world, we are calling to you come to our aid and stop this menace on our home. We want to be reunited with our family..’
Please join me today in answering their cry.
