Self explanatory title. I abhor that nicey nicey, politically correct, pseudo-Christianity which almost always supports leftwing attitudes - which in most cases are profoundly anti-Gospel. This Blog supports persecuted Christians. This Blog exposes cults. This Blog opposes junk science. UPDATED DAILY. This is not a forum. This Blog supports truly Christian websites and aids their efforts. It is hardhitting and unashamedly evangelical so if it offends - please do not come to this site!

Three Strikes And ...
More than 50,000 offences were committed by 10,000 offenders who had been in jail more than 10 times, new figures for 2010 showed today. (Mail.)
Why do we not just accept that some people are not fit to share the same society as decent people? Time is long overdue for that American idea of 'three strikes and you're out' to be implemented here in the UK.
Removing the unrepentant offenders from our midst would see crime rates plummet and have a rathe nice deterrent effect on those who are not quite as bad but who are moving in that direction.
Before anyone suggests 'community penalties', may I remind readers that:
a) These are weak and do not work at all on such offenders.
b) They will already have had a huge number of such disposals and
c) Such penalties only ever work on those who WANT to be reformed.

Bishops Excommunicate Lawmakers Who Legalized Abortion in Uruguay
By Myles Collier
As a consequence of passing legislation that would make Uruguay the second Latin American country to legalize abortion, Catholic bishops in Uruguay have excommunicated lawmakers that cast votes supporting the bill. (Christian Post.)
Upon reflection, in a church which does 'excommunicate', this action seems perfectly within bounds; perfectly legitimate.
Hans-Jürgen Papier.
In an interview with Welt, the former president of the
German Constitutional Court Hans-Jürgen Papier calls for competencies to be
claimed back from the EU level, arguing that “You cannot always blindly
centralise and think only about further European extension”, citing
environmental legislation and consumer protection in particular, also adding
that “Europe should also become more humble”.Welt
An exercise in damage limitation, I am
sure!

Evolving turtles 'Take It All Reeaaal Slow'
This fossilised turtle shell was recently discovered in Poland.
According to 'experts', it is 215 million years old.Wow. 215 million years and virtually identical to modern turtles!
We must hasten to a scientifically-based conclusion - that in the 'great evolutionary scheme of things' - turtles clearly lack ambition!

Evangelist Laments Billy Graham's Support of Romney, Says Mormon 'Lies' Spreading.
With two weeks to go before the presidential elections on Nov. 6, Internet evangelist Bill Keller of LivePrayer.com is still insisting that Christians cannot allow themselves to support a candidate like Mitt Romney, because his Mormon faith does not align with the teachings of Christ. YES. I do agree to an extent, BUT, which is worse - 'a cultist' or a 'liberal christian' who holds the Scriptures to be inconsequential?
Lesser evils, I fear.
Kevin Maguire On Boils.
In the Mirror, Kevin Maguire writes, “Senior figures in
Labour are finally realising a popular case can be made in favour of the
European Union after years of shying away from the argument…Labour’s manifesto
will pledge a vote…in the hope of lancing the anti-European
boil.”

Ambrose Evans-Pritchard.
"To all intents and purposes, the UK is already out. We stayed still. Europe galloped away without us.
No doubt we can find some elegant formula to paper over the split. As my friend Daniel Hannan puts it, we could devise a Swiss arrangement while pretending that we are still EU members. No point frightening the horses.
For those readers who missed it, the UK is preparing to pull out of almost all areas of "Justice and Home Affairs", the so-called Pillar III of EU jurisdiction. (Pillar I is the single market, and Pillar II is foreign affairs)
This is revolutionary. We are withdrawing from 130 directives, covering everything from the European Arrest Warrant, the European Public Prosecutor, to the European justice department (Eurojust)." Daily Telegraph.
Sounds impressive? NO! It is UTTERLY trivial when compared to the big issues. This is more of the tory propaganda designed to mislead us!
CAP? CFP? The democracy deficit? Imperialism? Costs? Bureaucracy?
I could continue!

India Persecution.
An Indian pastor was forced to flee his home last month after attackers disrupted a Christian celebration and accused him of bribing people to convert.
Pastor Raju, from Karnataka state, was leading a special thanksgiving gathering, following the miraculous healing of a villager, when Hindu fundamentalists attacked, throwing mud over the worshippers and their food.
He was threatened, arrested and later accused of bribing people with money and food to become Christians.
Release partners provided him with temporary accommodation before securing his bail and obtaining legal support for him. 'This is the price they pay for their faith. It is not easy living as a Christian in this state: it is a challenge,' said one of our partners.

Bye, Mick.
Last night I learned of the untimely death of an acquaintance. A good bloke for a natter and yet, I never knew him well enough to have even picked up what he did for a living.
I shall miss our occasional chats but I do know one thing to lift me - the guy was a Christian. He was saved.
Tragically, where too many deaths are concerned I cannot say this.

Learn, Labour Learn? - NO chance.
Millions of Labour voters have deserted the party in protest over mass immigration.
A poll reveals that nearly eight in ten former Labour voters support drastic curbs on migrant numbers.
It also shows huge support for sharp cuts in arrivals among those who have remained with the party.
In 1997, some 13.5million voted for Labour, but by the 2010 election that had fallen to 8.6million.
Analysis of the views of some of the five million ‘lost’ Labour voters by YouGov shows 78 per cent want net migration cut to zero.
That policy would mean foreign migrants would be allowed in only to replace people who left – in effect, a one-in-one-out rule.
The YouGov poll, published in Prospect magazine, interviewed thousands of Labour 'defectors'. Pollsters also found that two-thirds of Labour party loyalists backed zero net migration.
