Okay. What's going on in the avian world?

For the whole of this appalling winter we have been stocking our bird table with a wide variety of birdy treats.

They have hardly bothered to attend. The vast majority have turned their beaks up at the daily banquets on offer.

Time was that the poorest crust would attract hosts of songbirds. I know that the magpies have hammered our local populations but - surely the survivors have to eat - don't they?
