The tactic is Goebbels-like in its interpretations and historical application: pure misinformation combined with dishonest propaganda.
Consider the pure leftist slant in films such as 'Oh What A Lovely War.' Do not forget 'Black Adder 4' - however brilliant the final programme.
What I have not yet quite managed to do is to make the direct link between The Fabian Society and this incredibly damaging abuse of history which has had the effect of promoting the cause of socialism. The link MUST be there!
When Douglas Haig was buried, hundreds of thousands of his men turned up at his funeral to mourn.
78 British Generals died in World War One.
Haig was not only compassionate and an excellent Commander - but he effectively won the war.
AT LAST a piece of television has been produced which tells the unvarnished truth about The Somme in 1916 - everything from the objectives to the reasons why it occurred at all. And in between the nonsense about 'sacrificing men by making them WALK at the enemy' is fully and incontrovertibly explained.

The knock-on effects of that terrible battle are explained by a living general. It may have only won a few miles of ground but its achievements were phenomenal with the small side effect of leading directly to winning the war.
Without The Somme our casualties would have been even greater - when will the lefties admit this, I wonder?
