The Boxer Rebellion.

In China the Boxer Rebellion of 1900 has been represented as 'a war against European imperialism' by 'the usual suspects' of the left.
In actual fact - it was the wicked and brutal persecution of Christians by the so-called Boxers which fomented the initial stages of this conflict.
Naturally, there were countless political factors involved - but let us never forget where all of this began.
