According to a ridiculous report yesterday, across the country there are some 3 million potholes in the roads which apparently means one every 180 yards.On most Sheffield side roads you would be lucky to go ten yards and many quite significant roads are not much better.
We have so many in this part of the world that for those figures to be accurate, there must be vast swathes of land - many miles square without any potholes at all across the bulk of the nation.
