Mary Riddell.

An excellent piece by Mary Riddell in The Telegraph but there needs to be a full picture.
I lived in Franco's Madrid and saw peaceful demonstrators being charged down by baton-twirling police horsemen. So. Where are these in London when needed? Where are the watercannon? Where are the rubber bullets? Where is the tear gas?
Where are the eyewatering sentences for these rioters?
Where are the twenty year sentences for those who have incited this catastrophe?
Social order MUST always be kept. Short term issues cannot be given a long term solution in ten minutes!
Then - and ONLY when there is a total peace on the streets, can we start to ask 'Why'?
