Must Have Been a Coincidence.

Last Sunday afternoon as my much better half and I were preparing to leave Capetown, all the packing was done and dusted when we discovered that a passport was missing so we checked that it had not been left at hotel reception an hour earlier and concluded that, exceptionally clever pickpockets apart, it had to be in the room.
We tore it apart: moved beds, mattresses, pillows, searched every pocket between us six or eight times. The bags and cases were packed and unpacked about four times.
The time until the arrival of our connection was rapidly bearing down on us, the search had lasted over an hour and panic not too far away consequently, I sat down, cleared my mind and prayed. No more than 40 seconds later and there it was - sitting quietly at the side of a suitcase which had been repeatedly emptied and refilled.
Well, thanks to God for that. If we are Christians then why not ask for more than 'world peace' or a vague 'resolution of world poverty'? Trust Him too for the small things.
To all those 'it-must-be-coincidence' types out there, may I tell you, along with the old Archbishop William Temple: "The more I pray, the more coincidences I see!"
