Papyrus Claims That Jesus Had A Wife.

If that proposition were true - which I thoroughly believe not to be the case - it would heavily affect Roman Catholic teaching which is already more than a tad dubious in places.
It would make surprisingly little difference to Protestantism.
Even so - all the excitement about the discovered papyrus fragment can be put on hold RIGHT NOW!
It dates to - wait for it - the FOURTH Century.
The early Church was systematic in its approach to the scriptural canon in order to root out the countless fakes which had appeared.
If the fragment is genuinely ancient, as seems to be the case, all I can say is 'So what?'
