Is this the most poignant song ever written in
English?
Jez Lowe brings to life the Easington Colliery Disaster of June the
1st 1951 in which 83 men perished in The Duckbill Seam.
His voice is an acquired taste (I have acquired it) but
the song amazes and astounds without ever stumbling into
sentimentality.
It brings tears to my eyes with every hearing. I understand that it
followed a newspaper announcement of the death of 'The Last Of The Widows Of The
Duckbill Seam.'
Self explanatory title. I abhor that nicey nicey, politically correct, pseudo-Christianity which almost always supports leftwing attitudes - which in most cases are profoundly anti-Gospel. This Blog supports persecuted Christians. This Blog exposes cults. This Blog opposes junk science. UPDATED DAILY. This is not a forum. This Blog supports truly Christian websites and aids their efforts. It is hardhitting and unashamedly evangelical so if it offends - please do not come to this site!
BBC Supports Wicked Hamas For A Long Time.
The Beeb, however, cuts Nigeria adrift when it is Christians who are victims of extensive longterm genocide. It MUST be DEFUNDED!
