Former Taoiseach John Bruton writes in the Irish Times,
“Obviously if the UK leaves the EU, it would negotiate some sort of new
relationship with it…But what sort of relationship?...If the UK wanted to
prevent…EU immigrants entering the UK through the Republic [of Ireland], it
would have to introduce passport controls” on the Irish border. Irish
