Huhne & Price Were Released This Morning.

We have a justice system which is not only in total disarray but which is rapidly becoming a laughing-stock.
In what kind of world is somebody sent to prison for 8 months but released in just 2?
What was the point of the original sentencing?
If that was what they deserved - then that is pretty much what they should have served. Of course, there has to be some 'carrot to dangle' to ensure the best behaviour in prison but 20% off seems eminently reasonable to me!
It was at the point when just half of sentences were being served that I resigned from the magistracy. A quarter is simply ridiculous!
